Here you will find some of the questions we get asked most often from workshop and conference attendees.

How do you find the time to speak, write, run a website, etc.?

We often ask ourselves that, as well. It probably comes down to the passion we feel about teaching and mathematics. And also, we don’t “find the time,” we make the time.

Where do you get the ideas for your activities?

When you spend enough time focused on one concept/application, you can find a lot of patterns, relationships, and novel ways to represent/teach it. Also, we spend time reading, surfing, and looking at what others have done. Our approach has been successful because we think about the student and how people learn (brain research).

What does the future hold for Teacher to Teacher Press?

In 2009 we started a new line for us – DVDs. This has proven to be a wonderful addition to the TTTPress offerings since it allows users to view our materials any time. Teachers can also use them for staff development and direct classroom instruction. We may offer e-books as well; we need to find a good hosting/payment service for this.
