"Finally, math is fun!" Those were the words a teacher's least-engaged students shouted while working on one of these math projects. If you've ever wished your students would become that excited about mathematics, this webinar is for you. You'll discover how standards-based math projects transform routine practice into meaningful learning experiences while still allowing you to teach every required standard and finish your curriculum.
In this engaging and highly practical one-day webinar, I'll share tons of classroom-tested projects that helped my own students develop deeper conceptual understanding while mastering grade-level standards through creativity, problem solving, mathematical communication, and real-world application. We'll examine outstanding student samples, create projects together, and discuss simple implementation strategies, classroom management tips, differentiation techniques, and assessment tools that make project-based instruction both practical and effective.
One of the questions teachers ask most often is, "How do you find the time?" I'll show you exactly how I integrated these projects into my existing curriculum while still teaching every required state standard and finishing the textbook. Rather than adding something extra, these projects become the vehicle through which students learn multiple standards simultaneously, resulting in greater engagement and deeper learning.
